srikanthayana book launch

Numerous Kannada articles, reviews and forewords had been brought forth under one title – “Samshodhana Lekhanagalu” in 1975 under the editorship of B. R. Gopal and T. V. Venkatachala Sastry. The vast number of English articles, journal publications, monographs, book reviews and forewords lay scattered across hundreds of libraries and book collections. These were painstakingly collected, catalogued, edited, chronologically arranged and grouped as per classification over four years. These English works were bundled into two hard bound volumes and brought forth under the editorship of P. N. Narasimha Murthy and T. V. Venkatachala Sastry. These volumes aptly named “SRIKANTHAYANA” were released to the reading public by Dr S. Srikanta Sastri’s oldest living student and legendary Kannada grammarian and lexicographer Prof G. Venkatasubbaiah at a gala event on 29th of May, 2016 at Daly Memorial Hall, Mythic Society, Bangalore. To see more photographs, Click here
